Thought we’d seen the worst in ‘03
Oh no it gets darker
Abu Ghraib was only a tease
Oh no it gets darker
Neighbors start to out themselves as bigots
Oh no it gets darker
Proselytizing hatred to us sinners
Oh no no
So give me power
I’ll rule with vengeance
Shoot xenophobics, torture racists
Corrupt your daughters
With liberal slander
A toothy lion pit for every Christian
Decadent we gorge our disease
Oh no it gets darker
Willingly we step into the thresher
Oh no it gets darker
Censorship exalted as the future
Oh no it gets darker
Killing the American Dream
Oh no no
So give me power
I’ll rule with vengeance
Shoot xenophobics, torture racists
Corrupt your daughters
With liberal slander
A toothy lion pit for every Christian
Give me power
I’ll rule with vengeance
Shoot xenophobics, torture racists
Corrupt your daughters
With liberal slander
A toothy lion pit for each and every one
Give me power
I’ll rule with vengeance
Shoot xenophobics, torture racists
Corrupt your daughters
With liberal slander
A toothy lion pit for every Christian
I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
The synthwave/synth-pop you like to hear, over and over and over again!
Hard to a favourite because they all have something catchy to them that makes them so memorable to me. pix_
